Six in the top ten at Somerford Park (2)

It was a busy but good 3 days driving to and from the yard to Cheshire for Somerford Park International. Day one with Orlando (27.7), Thistledown Poposki( 33.6) and KBIS Briarlands Matilda (28.6) all finishing on their dressage scores in the OI classes to pick up 3rd, 5th & 4th placing’s respectively.

Day two saw Extreme II “Dennis” doing a double clear for 3rd in his last BE100 run. Calibro “Iglu John” made a green mistake XC at a ditch and was penalized for a hesitation but I was thrilled with him, I’ve just bought him so can’t wait to see how he develops for the remainder of the season. Kiltealy Catch Up “Lyra” was rather over awed by the Show Jumping ring and had …3 down with a lovely clear XC, sadly marred by me making up a long route which resulted in elimination! Bugbrooke “Foalie” was a star doing a double clear and finishing 2nd {pictured, photo with thanks to Alex Colquhoun}

Day three was CIC** for Call Me Maggie May who did a lovely double clear. She did a nice test to score 45.3 and finished 10th. I was delighted with her and I’m excited about her future!
