Fontainebleau CICO*** – 6th for KBIS Briarlands Matilda, Best Brit with 3rd place for Team GBR

We headed to Fontainebleau in France for the “The Crazy Ride Eventing 2015” in the CIC2**, CICO3* and also as a team member in the FEI CICO3* Eventing Nations Cup.
So on board this year KBIS British Equestrian Insurance Briarlands Matilda in the CICO3*, with Call Me Maggie May, Little Maestro and Briarlands Birdsong in the CIC2**.
Call Me “Maggie” May scored 47.5 in her first overseas CIC**, she then jumped a super clear round to rise from 31st place to 15th after SJ, we had a great round XC and shed finished the highest placed Brit in the CIC** in 13th place.
Little Maestro “Mylo” scored 59.4 in the dressage irritatingly had a couple of rails in the SJ, however we had a super clear round XC and was pleased with him as it was also his first overseas CIC**.
Briarlands Birdsong “Rick” scored 52.2 in his first overseas CIC** great to see comments like this from his owner on twitter:-
“Thrilled with Briarlands Birdsongs dressage at Fontainebleau 2* Thank you” Bridget Lyne, we had an annoying rail but still rose 10 places up leader board after the show jumping! XC was awesome he only added 0.4 time to be placed 27th in the field.
“Amazing weekend at Fontainbleu with Briarlands Birdsong “Rick” and Izzy Taylor biggest question he has ever been asked Great start to the season” Bridget Lyne Owner of Rick
What can I say except KBIS British Equestrian Insurance Briarlands “Matilda” was such a star in France, we finished best brit with an individual place of 6th finishing on 51.6 with the team finishing in 3rd place. Returning home she has been accepted into Badminton Horse Trials so a good start for her season.
